Our first memory of Bigfoot was from watching the film Harry and the Hendersons as children, and ever since we have been hooked on all things Sasquatch. Later in life, when we were trekking in the Himalayas, we heard many stories about the mythical Yeti, and were fascinated by the beliefs of the local Nepalese people. The legend is so strong there that there’s even a remote Buddhist monastery with the supposed scalp of a Yeti on display! Reported sightings and evidence (that have since proven inconclusive) have fostered the myth even further over the years, with even the legendary David Attenborough stating he believes in its existence. When we first started making beard oil for ourselves we knew our childhood obsession would make the perfect mascot, and hence Bigfoot Beards was born. We have a strong passion for nature and for being in the wilderness, and want our products to evoke memories and feelings of the great outdoors. We hand-make all the beard oils in London, and we purposely choose essential oils that have specific properties, combining a mix of jojoba, avocado and hemp for the carrier oil, to help hydrate your skin without blocking your pores, or being overly greasy. Bigfoot Beards’s goal is to create a beard oil that moisturises, yet also smells great and helps keep your beard looking as luxurious as Bigfoot’s.
